Terms of service for publishers

Rights to service

To protect the validity and accuracy of the calculated reputation, ShareRep reserves the right to determine which clients will be offered the ShareRep service. ShareRep also reserves the right to discontinue the service if the terms of service are broken.

Gauge

The publisher is required to use the ShareRep gauge as delivered when displaying the reputation information. There is no restriction on also using other reputation systems alongside ShareRep, or utilizing the reputation information provided by ShareRep for other purposes in addition to the gauge display.

Feedback

The publisher is required to collect feedback on all user generated content or actions where the ShareRep gauge is displayed and regularly send the feedback to ShareRep.

Regular updates

The publisher will be required to update the ShareRep reputations regularly to ensure that a consistent view of an individual is displayed across all ShareRep enabled sites.

Interface schedule

Upload of feedback data and download of updated reputation information is required daily, although this requirement may be varied based on specific publisher requirements.

Filtering

The publisher must provide the ability to filter results based on the general ShareRep star rating in any lists where the ShareRep gauge is displayed.

Site weighting

As there are many factors which contribute to the calculation of the reputation, ShareRep does not guarantee that all sites will have the same weighting.

Liability

ShareRep does not accept liability for any damages or costs incurred by the publisher either directly or indirectly related to the use of the ShareRep service.
